Free Meet and Greet!
If you have not booked a previous Sniffari for your dog, then you will need to arrange a free meet and greet with your dog. Send Darwin an email with your name, your dog’s name, your address in Riverdale, Whitehorse and your preferred time to meet for a free test Sniffari.
Sniffari Pricing:
SHORT SNIFFARI (1/2 hour) - $20 plus GST for one dog, $30 plus GST for two dogs from the same family
LONG SNIFFARI (1 Hour) - $30 plus GST for one dog, $40 plus GST for two dogs from the same family
SNIFFARI 10-Pack - 20% discount per walk when you buy a ten pack of Sniffaris
FAQ
How do I know how long my dog was on a sniffari? We’ll send you a photo by phone or email when we come and get your dog and then again when we return your dog home. You’ll know exactly how long your dog was out!
What if no one is home when you come to pick up my dog? If you are scheduling a sniffari when no one will be home then you will need to leave a key or a key code for us to get your dog. We are trusted house and pet sitters and can provide references for our reliability and integrity.
How do I pay? Once you book a session or series of sessions, we will send you an online invoice payable by credit or debit card with a safe and secure payment processor. Once paid, we will then provide the service as scheduled.
What if I have to cancel my dog’s sniffari? If you cancel within 24 hours of the booking time, we will refund your payment otherwise we keep your payment and reschedule your pup’s sniffari for a later date.
What about weather cancellations? For colder weather, in winter, it depends on your dog. If you are booking in winter then we will have an individual plan for your dog. Some dogs can’t handle anything below -20C, others are fine to -30C. Anything colder is not safe for sniffaris. Let’s talk about what’s best for your dog. Cancellations due to weather will be rescheduled for a warmer day.
What do I need to provide? We prefer to use a harness rather than a neck collar for dogs and ask that you provide a properly fitted harness. Also, we recommend a doggie towel at your entrance so we can clean your doggie’s paws after the sniffari so they do not soil your floors or furniture.
What do you provide? We’ll provide your dog with an engaging sniff walk along with some recall training using our beef or bison training treats. We also have chicken liver treats for those dogs with a beef allergy. Let us know in advance if your dog has any allergy issues we should be aware of.
Do you take reactive dogs? Generally we do not take reactive dogs on sniffaris because these dogs should be on training walks designed to reduce reactivity. If you have a reactive dog, then we recommend you contact Wise Canine Training and Behavior about remedies to reactivity.
